Obtaining Readings for Anthropology 629
There are only two books for the course that you either need to purchase or obtain from a library (note that there is a change from the 2001 syllabus if you've looked at this page before):
Latour,
Bruno, and Steve Woolgar
1979
Laboratory Life. Beverly
Hills: Sage. (you should get this one right away, it's coming up soon!)
Das, Veena
1995
Critical Events. Delhi: Oxford
Universit Press.
You can
purchase them by contacting the UAF bookstore through their web site at http://www.uaf.edu/bookstore/ or there
are of course other booksellers on line.
Amazon.com is the most famous; if you don't want to go corporate there
is the Seminary Coop Bookstore in Chicago, probably the best bookstore nationwide
for anthropology: http://www.semcoop.com.
All the other
readings are available online. You
can reach electronic reserves by going to the UAF library web page and then
clicking on Electronic Reserves System, (ERes).
Contact me immediately if you have any trouble getting hold of the materials <ffdck@uaf.edu>.
